Business Opportunity Ebooks: Beware Of the Bull

There are so many business opportunities online, and often they are not worth squat. In this article I am looking at a particular kind of product: those e-books which claim to show you a brain-dead easy way to instant riches.

Take this for instance:

“$100,000/month guaranteed – start earning within 15 minutes!” This AdWords ad caught my eye as I did a Google search for “business opportunity” today.

Let’s get serious here — do you really think someone in their right mind can make such a promise? My guess is you’d have to be a whiz at making money to have any chance of doing that well. Now when I hop over to the sales page, I am told in blazing letters that I will make a hundred grand a month “100% on autopilot”!

Provided I purchase the “insider secrets” product, at the reasonable cost of $49.90 — if I “act today”.

Aha, that sounds fantastic — less than $50 for a couple of “insider secrets” that will make me filthy rich ON AUTOPILOT!

Only way of achieving that I am aware of is to make my own money. And since that is forbidden by law I wouldn’t recommend it.

This sales message, so obviously inflated, is rather typical of the worst type of online biz-opp products. This is targeted at clueless people who very much would like to get rich using the Web but have no idea how to pull it off.

Now, I happen to know that this particular $49.90 ebook seems to be marred by a strikingly high number of refunds. It’s because the product is an ebook, which has a two month money-back guarantee. And the payment processor (Clickbank) provides public data about every product they handle. A quick glance at that information shows me that many people have disliked this product enough to ask for their money back. Which is exactly what you’d expect just from the B.S. smell of the sales page.

In conclusion: there are many products claiming to show you what a great business opportunity you have using the power of the Internet. But beware of those over-hyped products which are basically just full of hot air! But you can find useful and legit information too, if you just know how to find it. And I suggest you go to my blog, dBusinessOpportunity.com, to learn more. I have seen many of these products — the good, the bad and the ugly.
